Outside Sales

Ron Haverstock, principal owner and managing partner, founded HKA in 1985 after 12 years of sales and marketing experience in the electrical utility and commercial and industrial industries.  Ron began his career with Alcoa selling conductor and accessories throughout the Midwest.  Before incorporating HKA, he spent a couple of years working as a rep in the C&I market out of Carmel, IN.

Ron manages the daily operations of the business, oversees manufacturer relations and has direct account responsibility at Duke/Cinergy and the distributors that serve this account.

Ron has an undergraduate degree from Penn State University and an MBA from Murray State University.  He enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids and watching Penn State football.

Jason Koenig, Outside Sales Manager, came to work for HKA in 1995 after graduating from Purdue University.  Jason’s entire career has been with HKA in a sales and marketing capacity.

Jason is HKA’s Outside Sales Manager and has account responsibility at Exelon, ComEd and PECO.

Jason has an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, weekends on the golf course and watching Purdue athletics.

Bill Crandall, Outside Sales, came to work for HKA in 2000 after 15 years of experience with various manufacturers in electrical utility industry including Buckingham Manufacturing and White Safety Line.  Bill has account responsibility for First Energy, Allegheny Power, Duquesne Light, Northern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania public power and the distributors that serve this territory.

Bill has an undergraduate degree from Binghamton State University in New York and enjoys spending time with his wife and two girls, weekend golf games and coaching his daughter’s basketball and softball teams.

Sean Haverstock, outside sales, joined HKA in 2001 after graduating from the University of Louisville. Sean spent the first three years of his HKA career covering the accounts in Kentucky and re-located to St. Louis, MO and now has account responsibility at Ameren, Vectren, Eastern Missouri, Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky public power and the distributors that serve this territory.

Sean has an undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville and enjoys spending time with his family and following college athletics.

Tom Kaercher, Outside Sales, came to work for HKA in 2002 after 12 years of inside and outside sales with General Cable. Tom is responsible for Consumers Energy, Detroit Edison, NIPSCO, ITC, Michigan and Northern Indiana public power and the distributors that serve this territory.

Tom has an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, golf, hockey and following Purdue Athletics.

Don Schleicher, outside sales, came to work for HKA in 2007 after running his own business for the past 15 years. Prior to that, Don spent five years in an outside sales capacity. Don is responsible for TVA, Tennessee public power and the distributors that serve this territory.

Don attended the University of Alabama and enjoys the outdoor life camping and fishing and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Adam Clark, Outside Sales, joined HKA in the summer of 2008 after spending his last five years as a manufacturer's representative in the Commercial & Industrial / Safety marketplace and has been in a sales function his entire professional career. Adam is responsible for Eon (LGE / KU), IPL, Eastern Kentucky and Southern Indiana public power and the distributors that serve this territory.

Adam has an undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky, an MBA from Sullivan University and enjoys spending time with his wife, two children and playing golf whenever time permits.

Shayne Johnston, Outside Sales, joined HKA in 2009 after serving 8 years in a regional sales management role with AFL Telecommunications and General Cable. Previous to that, Shayne spent eleven years working for American Electric Power (AEP) in various engineering and operations functions. Shayne has direct account responsibility at AEP East and West, DP&L, Southern Ohio and the distributors that serve this territory.

Shayne has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University, an MBA from Wheeling University and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and playing basketball, softball and guitar."
